Thank you for your support of Horos. We are now three years past our original introduction of Horos and are overwhelmed with the level of support we have received. We now have more than 125,000 users around the world, spanning seven continents and 170 countries. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union (EU) is like HIPAA...with a twist...a big twist. Seriously. If you thought HIPAA had high fines, the revised GDPR will give a run for your money. So, do yourself a favor and take the precautions necessary to abide to these new regulations - now in effect.

While Horos certainly still has a way to go before it can be put in the same category as a Cloud based DICOM viewer, it is still one step ahead of an onsite and physically bulky viewing workstation. With Horos, as a physician or academic, you can download the application onto your Mac laptop and you can view patient images anywhere you take your device.

Physicians often find themselves needing to collaborate on patient studies. If you are only using local onsite solutions like Horos, you are probably having to send the images via mail. So long story short, no, Horos does not allow you to collaborate in real time with a colleague. However, if that is something you need, the makers of Horos have an affordable solution that will enable you to collaborate and then some.
